Qualification Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level are likely to provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They may also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of teams.
They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

Units of Competence
The qualification covers twelve (12) units of competence, five (5) core units and seven (7) elective units. Of these seven, four (4) electives come from Group A, and the remaining three (3) should be chosen from Group B.

All sessions are supported by learning materials, readings and intensive coaching and mentoring by facilitators, as well as online, email and phone support.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal pre-requisites for studying this qualification, but candidates should have the literacy and numeracy skills required to study at a certificate IV level. In order to successfully complete the qualification we recommend that candidates should have one of the following:

have relevant vocational practice, without formal qualifications

have other educational qualifications and some vocational experience.
