Change Management

Change Management

The tension between the positives of change and the negatives is felt by organisations through resistance in their workforce and the less than optimal implementation of change.  The requirements of managing change are often underestimated and poor implementation leads to failure of change, and can also intensify resistance to future change.  This workshop over two days looks at change management, warts and all, to provide a tool set to participants to help them achieve positive change within their organisations.

Implementation of change is often seen as the allocation of resources and carrying out of tasks to achieve the change. But in reality, communication is at the heart of successful change management.

Some of the topics in this short course include:

  • The basics of change management

  • Understanding the scope of the change

  • Planning change

  • Understanding the strategic implications of change

  • Implementing change

  • Engaging your people in change

  • Communicating change

  • Consolidating change

  • Change barriers – resistance, change fatigue, miscommunication

  • Realigning the organisation to embrace change
